Transfers between accounts
First, let me say I realize this was suggested before and that you can drag & drop items from one wallet to another.
That said, I would argue that this functionality is more of an "oops! this amount shouldn't have gone to this wallet, let me move it to the correct wallet real quick" kind of feature. I say this mainly for two reasons: you can not transfer an arbitrary amount of money (which is extremely useful (if not vital) to record a deposit to a bank account, for example) and second, once the amount has been "transferred" to another wallet, no record is kept of the transaction between wallets (and I'm reasonably sure I'm not the only person who thinks that having records of deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, etc is an useful feature.)
You could also kind of mimic a transfer feature by creating a new expense in @cash and creating a new income in @savings (to represent a deposit from cash-in-hand to the savings account, for example), but even in this case you'd need to create two new entries each time, and there is no obvious link that would suggest these entries are related.
So yeah, the drag & drop does its thing, but I think transfers between wallets can be both clearer and more useful with a different implementation, what's your opinion on this?

i don't think this is solved yet.
1. the new interface does not allow putting in text commands like the way it's shown in the blog
2. the way shown in the blog is is more like a programmer's approach where we have to type a little code - there should be something UI based so that it is more intuitive to the user
3. transferring money from one wallet to another wallet marks it as an expense in the current wallet, and that has an effect on the amount spent that is shown in the budget view - i have just changed my wallet, i have not used the money yet - transfers in wallets should not be recorded as an expense. -

I don't know how to transfer money between accounts with the new interface on version 2. The blog just explain how to do it with the previous version. Could you please update this?

Hi Amin,
unfortunately the solution you found is not working for me. It also seems that the interface on the screenshot of your link is different to what I see.
Has it maybe changed and the old option of transferring money between accounts has been lost? -

A quick follow-up:
I've been reading cashbase's blog and found this:
http://blog.cashbasehq.com/move-money-between-walletsaccountsSorry for not finding it before I made the original suggestion (didn't come up on the search results).
This is almost exactly the feature I'm suggesting, except the transaction should be linked between the wallets (so that if, for example, I modify or delete one of the entries then this will be reflected on the other entry as well).
Again, sorry, would have made my first suggestion a lot less verbose :).
